I'm Gary — the electrician behind 17 Electrical. I've spent 15 years in the trade, working on everything from single sockets in family homes to full commercial installations, right across Edinburgh, West Lothian, Glasgow and Central Scotland.
What those years teach you is simple: the work speaks. Do a tidy job, charge what you quoted, answer the phone when it rings — and the next customer usually comes from the last one. That's the whole business plan, and it hasn't failed yet.
When you call 17 Electrical you're not getting a call centre or a subcontractor lottery. You're getting the person whose name is on the job — which is exactly why every job gets done as if the neighbours are watching. Because usually, they are.
Four rules we don't break.
Safety is non-negotiable
Every job is tested and verified to BS 7671 wiring regulations before we call it finished. No shortcuts, no "that'll do".
The quote is the price
You get a clear price before work starts. If something genuinely unexpected turns up, we stop and talk — you'll never just find it on the invoice.
Your time matters
We turn up when we said we would. If anything changes, you hear it from us first — not from an empty doorstep.
Leave it better than we found it
Dust sheets, hoovering up, straight fittings, labelled boards. The job isn't done until your home looks like we were never there.
